Owen Ryan

Owen serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Geller Advisors, the firm’s Registered Investment Advisor and family office subsidiary. In addition, Owen serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Geller & Company. Owen’s 30 years of experience includes strategic consulting, corporate finance, capital modeling, data analytics, forensic investigations, cyber security, regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, initial public offerings, auditing, tax and operations.

Prior to joining Geller & Company, Owen was the CEO & President of AEGIS Insurance Services, a global top 10 property and casualty insurer focused on excess and surplus lines. Earlier in his career, Owen served as the CEO of Deloitte Advisory, Deloitte’s risk and financial advisory practice, which is comprised of 13,000+ U.S. professionals and 30,000+ global professionals.

At Deloitte, Owen served as a member of the US and Global Executive Committees, as well as Deloitte’s Global FSI Board, Global Board, Risk Committee and Deloitte & Touche’s Board responsible for oversight of its audit business. Owen also served as a leader of Deloitte’s US and Global Financial Services practice and was the Managing Partner of Regulatory & Capital Markets Consulting, US and Global Managing Partner for Insurance and was a Financial Services M&A services leader.

Owen is a member of the Board at BlackLine, a cloud-based software platform that streamlines and automates accounting and finance operations. He serves as Chairman of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee, as well as a member of the Nominating, Governance and Executive Committee.

Owen has written and lectured extensively on strategic risk issues and Mergers & Acquisitions, including co-authoring a text book on M&A. He is also a frequent public speaker at universities on topics such as leadership, brand reputation and ethics.

Owen is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of PeerForward and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of New Jersey City University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of CPAs.

Owen graduated with a BS from New Jersey City University and earned an MBA from Columbia University, with a concentration in Management and Finance.
